On-Call Software: On-call software
allows for on-call personnel to be scheduled, so that call center agents can
know who is on-call for a specific day and time.
Automatic dispatching is often an option, based on the on-call persons'
preferences and using their pre-programmed phone numbers and email addresses.
Typically the software allows for primary and backup on-calls to be
entered or it can rotate through a list. When
the software is Web-enabled, clients and end-users can access it though a secure
website to make changes, update information, make their own schedules, and print
reports.
