ISDN Systems: ISDN call center
systems accept advanced digital ISDN technology and are able to tap into the
added capabilities that ISDN provides, including identifying the called party,
calling party, and reason the call was transferred to the call center.
Additionally, special routing can be pre-programmed based on the caller
ID (or ANI). There are two types of
ISDN circuits: PRI, which allows for 23 simultaneous calls and BRI, which
accommodates two calls. ISDN service
also allows for outgoing calls to be made and affords high-quality call patching
and conferencing.
