Connections
Launches Industry-Exclusive News and
Information Feed (5/08)
In order to better serve readers
and provide an additional means of communication, Connections Magazine
has launched an industry-specific news and information feed. Configured much
like a typical blog, the newsfeed will provide updates and information to
Connections Magazine’s audience.
Information will include notices
of when new information or sections have been added to the Connections
Magazine Website, exclusive online articles, guest editorials, and selected
breaking news. Of specific importance are notices each time a new issue of
Connections Magazine is available online for reading, viewing, or printing.
Typically, each issue is added online a week or more before the mailed version
is received.
There are three ways of accessing
information from the newsfeed. First, it can be checked manually. Alternately,
readers may sign up to be notified via email of all new information – the goal
is no more than one notification per week. Lastly, there is an option for Aton
and RSS newsfeeds. All three may be accessed at
http://newsfeed.connectionsmagazine.com. There is also a link to the
newsfeed on the Connections Magazine Web site under “Info/Resources.”

Peter DeHaan Launches Blog (3/08)
Peter DeHaan, publisher of
Connections Magazine, AnswerStat magazine, and the Web site,
MyArticleArchive.com, launched a blog on January 1, simply entitled The
Musings of Peter DeHaan.
“I had been considering a blog
for a couple of years,” DeHaan stated. “The feedback that I receive on my
articles and editorials is both affirming and encouraging. My main concern was
wondering if I would have enough worthwhile topics to write about in a blog.
Eventually, I concluded that this was not an issue – and the blog was launched!”
The blog will be similar in scope
and tone to Peter’s From the Publisher column on page 7 of this
magazine. As such, it will serve as a general-purpose repository of his
thoughts and observations, covering an array of subjects from the personal to
the public and everything in between.

New Postal Rates Hits
Connections with a 41 Percent Increase (7/07)
The new USPS rates hit
Connections Magazine hard, with a 41 percent increase. To address this,
Connections Magazine is carefully scrutinizing each copy that is mailed.
Every deserving, qualified person should continue to receive a copy. However, a
diligent quest is underway to identify and remove duplicate and obsolete
mailings.
- Let Connections know of extra copies that your
company no longer needs.
- If the address label contains incorrect information,
please update it.
- If you are personally receiving multiple copies at
different locations, please wean yourself down to one copy and cancel the
rest.
- Check your mailing label. If it says “Please
Renew,” Connections Magazine definitely needs to hear from you if
your subscription is to continue.
All these items (subscription
renewals, changes, updates, as well as new subscription requests) can be
accomplished online at
www.connectionsmagazine.com/subs.

New
Article Website Launched (3/06)
Peter DeHaan Publishing,
Inc, publisher of Connections Magazine and
AnswerStat magazine, launched a new
Website, “My Article Archive.” The
new site features articles of a general nature that have widespread application
and appeal. “Each month we receive
many excellent articles that we can’t fit into our print magazines,” stated
the Website’s creator, Peter DeHaan. “Sometimes,
we just don’t have enough room and other times the content, which is valuable
and well-written, is broader than the specific focus of our magazines.
Developing a Website to showcase this work seemed to be an excellent
solution.”
The article
Website already
contains over 100 articles, with new articles being added weekly.
Topics include: Business, Communications, Customer service, Financial,
Humor, Internet, Leadership, Legal, Management, Marketing, Sales, and
Self-Improvement. Several of the
articles have been written by authors whose work has appeared in Connections
Magazine and AnswerStat magazine.

www.MyArticleArchive.com to read
articles posted and for more information.
