About the Editor, Peter DeHaan
Peter DeHaan, the editor-in-chief of Connections Magazine, has 30
years of writing and call center related experience.
His
work experience includes serving as President for a multi-location call
center and telephone answering service, working in several positions for a
call center equipment manufacturer and software developer, and providing
call center consultancy before purchasing Connections Magazine from
its founder, Steve Michaels, in September 2001. Given this diverse
background, his "From the Publisher"
column in each issue is a popular and anticipated piece.
Peter published
his first article in 1983, entitled "All
About Pagers," in the now defunct magazine,
Radio Electronics. Ironically,
his second article "Computers
Track Down Intermodulation Interference"; was published a year later in
Mobile Radio Technology magazine as he labored through his college
freshman writing class. It would be his only college writing course; he
persevered and earned an A.
From that, a passionate and prolific writer was born. Over the years, he
has written over one hundred articles for many publications. In
addition to his "From the Publisher" column in Connections Magazine, he also
blogs at "The Musings
of Peter DeHaan" and has more articles posted on the website,
Article Weekly.
